Scrum Reaper
Scrum reaper is the Grim Reaper, the figure of death who comes to collect, reassigned to the sprint. Scrum took its name from rugby by way of Hirotaka Takeuchi and Ikujiro Nonaka's 1986 Harvard Business Review article, and Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland presented it as a framework in 1995. Its rules are strict about the ending: under the Scrum Guide, work that does not meet the definition of done cannot even be presented at the sprint review and returns to the product backlog.
Every agile team eventually meets a facilitator who takes the ceremonies a little too seriously, and this is that person's final form. Standups, retros and sprint reviews already carry a faint air of ritual judgment: unfinished work gets collected, and velocity is discussed in hushed tones. The Halloween t-shirt belongs to Scrum Masters who can laugh at the role, and to developers who suspect their ceremonies were always a little funereal.
